About Me 😉
As you my dear visitor can see, I‘m very passionate about technology and programming. Moreover, I‘m also a fan of Formula 1 and that‘s why you will find styles regarding it and many references throughout my entire website. Without any hesitation, follow me on my journey below...

It all started here, back in 2012 when I was about to finish my studies in telecommunications engineering and the time came to look out for my internship as a requirement for graduation. Didn't have a clue which journey I was about to join in 😱. But you know what they say, if it doesn't scare you then it is not a challenge. After several turnarounds, few interviews and a lot of uncertainty, a great company named Intersect came in to give me an offer to join the team as a web developer and with no hesitation I accepted. HTML? CSS? Javascript? Ruby... on rails? What does all that mean? All I knew before was Java and C#, but worry not, raise up the adrenaline and start the engine! Brand new learning, brand new skill coming up the way, a racing world on your back trying to overtake you and leave you behind at the first chance, but I also have my own and the bravery of a rookie!. No more saying, engines roaring and a Green flag waving!

While everything was moving smoothly at Intersect, our boss decided strategically to sell the company to another one to keep competitiveness and growing. This company was named Crown Partners, representing a new brand for us all in the team. No major changes fortunately, same stack, same projects but certainly more challenges ahead!

Entrepreneurial moves never stop and so was the case with Crown Partners, which was acquired this time by Razorfish. Another one yet bigger company with more challenges, new learnings and experiences to come.

Things happen :( and even the best stories come to an end. This was the case for my time at Razorfish, where I had the opportunity to work on exciting projects and grow as a developer. Due to multiple changes in the company it was not possible to keep our work relationship and both me and a colleague were forced to leave. Nevertheless, this was a time for maybe a short break and to start exploring the world of freelancing. Never done it before as you can tell. But worry not! This was just a yellow flag on my career, time for embracing new technologies and experiences.

No more yellow flags and race on! Back on companies side I joined a great company in Bogota where I moved in to work for Grability. Time for meeting new friends and getting to know even more technologies. By the time I knew about Angular Js and here I acknowledge the mere existence of yet another framework named Vue JS. It felt like shifting from one team to another on the grid! Williams to Aston Martin maybe ? I can say I had worked with two of the most popular Frontend frameworks at the time.

Quick laps happened and decided to make yet another shift to a bigger company you may have heard already. Globant is even one of the biggest sponsors of F1 and you can even see their advertisements among F1 circuits all over the world. Here I had the chance to resume being part of a multicultural environment. Not only I had the chance to work with people from other cities from my own country but also people from other countries such as the USA (again), Chile and Argentina. Back on Angular JS and Node JS.

Looks like I love changes and moving across cities. This time I decided to switch to Medellin and have an amazing time with another company where I had the chance to upgrade my tech stack from Angular JS to Angular 2 (Named Angular onwards). Also, my team was distributed among the US west coast and Medellin. Last but not least by any means, I have to mention I found most of my best friends ever during my time in Team International, friends that later on became family.

As said before, it looks like I have a taste for changes and this time decided to switch back to Remote roles yet based in Medellin. Here I had my first sneak peak with React, feeling again like changing a team inside the grid! This time from Aston Martin to Ferrari sort to say. It started to be my main (and favourite) tech stack from that time on.

My taste for challenges led me to another company, this time on a multi stack basis with projects using tools and frameworks such as AWS S3, API gateway, Angular (nice to see again), React and Vue JS (who would have known I would see it again). Not leaving React (my Ferrari alike team) but felt like collaborating with other teams in the grid! I also have to mention here I found a beloved friend who would also help me to move across the industry and keep up with challenges ahead.

As said before, my beloved friend a.k.a "Tate" dragged me out of DevSavant to join Encora on a Remote role too and with even better benefits. So I moved in to work again on a multicultural team with people from countries like Costa Rica, Mexico, USA (from either coast) and Canada. Here I had my first sneak peak with a design system and its usage across composite components in React. Also had the chance to lead the Front End dev team for one of the clients from Encora's site.

Now a big opportunity came on the road and Estonia and Yolo group called me to join them in a marvelous, incredibly fulfilling experience that I will always hold in my heart. After a while in Encora and despite the efforts of my team to hold me, Yolo Group called me to relocate me from Colombia to Estonia, a long awaited offer I was honestly looking forward to. That said, without any hesitation I grabbed my wife’s hand (who I married just a few months ago) and left the country. Despite sad farewells from either families and our beloved friends in Colombia, we embarked on this trip for new adventures, learnings and experiences. Which, I have to say, I never envisioned enough what was about to come. For instance, multiculturality here is greater than any expected by working with people from Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Spain, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Estonia of course. As well, getting to know meta frameworks such as Next JS and even new programming languages such Elixir with its renowned framework Phoenix + LiveView (Red Bull racing team of programming? Maybe?)

Yolo Group-- Software Engineer at Design System Team2024-10-01 - Present
Here we are, just a change of team because... who doesn't like changes after all? ;) So, race is on, throttle flatting out and many racing drivers (a.k.a software engineers) on the same never ending competition. That leads me only to one question…
